What brought you to SMA?
“I was looking around for a gym, but wasn’t interested in another franchise and kept putting it off due to no motivation. I met Josh at the local pool and talked to him for ages and SMA sounded like just the place I was looking for! It was also recommended by my Physio and I clicked straight away when I walked in.”
What have been the biggest challenges you’ve overcome?
“Well, I have anxiety, and building up my strength and fitness has been a great way to reduce it and deal with work stress. My mindset is so much better. The days I do my training in the morning I feel great and start off so much better than the days I don’t. It’s very rewarding to come. Working with Josh as my Coach has also been fantastic for guidance, motivation and consistency. It’s easy to say “I’m not going” if life gets busy but having the accountability means I turn up and get it done!”
What are the biggest changes you’ve noticed?
“I feel fitter and healthier at 47 than I did at 27! My mind is so much clearer. My mobility is much better and I haven’t had to see a Physio or Chiro because my low back pain has reduced significantly. Training gives me the tools to overcome anything that comes my way in life.”
What do you like about coming to SMA?
“I feel so great on the days I come, it’s an escape from the world and the stress of work. It’s so different to any of the franchise gyms and the people are welcoming and friendly.”
